DOC MALIK, DOC STOWELL & I

Dr Malik is an interesting man. As an orthopaedic surgeon, it was his job to understand the structure of a human being and then get under the skin, literally.
He has brought these surgical skills to his popular podcast.
He also brings the feel of a one-to-one consultation, so it’s easy to sense the chat is a private consultation or feel it's just a chat among friends rather than a filmed interview.I’ve spoken to his previous guests, and they all feel the same.
That’s my excuse for the few things that maybe should have remained private thoughts!
Doc Malik radiates an intimacy, yet his interviews are deeply planned and structured. He knows precisely what he is doing. In the past few years, Doc Malik’s output has been extraordinary, reaching over 500 episodes. He’s brought his skills from his advanced medical training and specialisations into the area of medical truth.
He has chickens running around his podcast studio and has now taken the leap into truly living the full independence we all preach and is now homeschooling his kids.We are lucky to have him fighting our corner in his idiosyncratic and unique way.I hope you subscribe to his podcast and send messages and words of support. Both are valuable forms of energy that keep the cogs turning. His other speciality is helping those caught up in the Venus flytrap of modern allopathic medicine disentangle themselves, bringing clarity and enabling informed choices. You will find links to book his consultations under his podcasts.
Doc Malik introduced this episode with these words:::: This episode is for anyone who watched the COVID era unfold and quietly wondered why nobody in a white coat was asking questions.
Mark Playne is back in the studio, and this time he brought a friend, Dr Philip Stowell.Mark as you know is the brilliant author of MoMo, one of the best books I have ever read. Mark’s talents know no bounds, his latest book AI & I is truly a forensic masterpiece.
Philip spent 44 years as a GP across three continents, and he is exactly the kind of doctor I wish we still made: compassionate, curious and unafraid to say what he sees.Philip wrote the brilliant foreword for Mark’s latest book AI & I.

Mark Playne is a British filmmaker, author and independent journalist. His short film Love at First Sight won 76 international awards and is archived by the British Film Institute, and he went on to direct 2 by 2, an award winning comedy shot entirely in Turkish, a language he does not speak. His books include the novel MoMo, a fable about a young Moroccan boy and the pull of migration, the memoir 3 Seconds in Bogotá, and AI & I: Cracking the Corona Code, in which he cross examines artificial intelligence about the COVID era. Since 2020 he has run the independent project Not On The Beeb, and a common thread through all his work is trusting our intuition.
Dr Philip Bradfield Stowell is a retired general practitioner who qualified from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School in 1977 and practised in the UK, Africa and Australia. A Fellow of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine, he wrote the foreword to AI & I.

AI & I: Cracking The Corona Code - THE MASTER EDITION 2026

★★★★★
“This book mirrors a barrister teasing the evidential truth from a reluctant witness. Under scrutiny, the AI gives full and frank answers that will shock you.”
Ian Humphries, Former Police Investigator
The result is a forensic dialogue — human intuition versus machine reasoning — that has been called one of the most significant investigations of the pandemic era. Rigorous enough for scientists. Accessible enough for anyone. Polished enough to place in the hands of your GP.
★★★★★
“The link between solar activity and influenza was jaw-dropping.”
Dan Roberts
The 2026 edition is the most complete version to date. Professionally edited and expanded with international data, updated graphs, and a central infographic designed to clarify the core argument. New sections provide practical tools for navigating future uncertainty.
A foreword from a retired GP, with over four decades of experience, raises a simple question to his former colleagues: whether silence is still compatible with their professional oath.
★★★★★
“This book does not demand belief. It demands attention.”
Dr Philip Stowell

“What kind of magic do you want to master—good, or bad?”
In the ancient kasbahs of North Africa, young MoMo and his beloved duck discover a world where mysterious fires dance in small palms, where eggs become art in bustling markets, and where grandmother’s wisdom carries the weight of ages.
When ancient powers awaken within him, MoMo faces choices that will echo through his destiny. This magic realist tale from the heart of North Africa reveals the wonder, danger, and magic hidden in everyday moments—from desert nights filled with starlight and stories to the profound question of who we choose to become.
For readers who love The Little Prince, The Alchemist, and Watership Down.
Yet, if you think MoMo is just for children, as the above interview reveals, Doc Malik’s wife’s other favourite books are Shantaram and Papillon.
